Bianca
was our first Maremmano. We got her in the vacation in Italy as a puppy given. Driving back to Germany we stopped often , so that Bianca could release herself. She went however voluntarily no step. My wife must hop before her to move herself forward. At home she reduced then only our flowers and digged some holes. This does not stop when she was grownup. Once she dug a hole under a 5 meters high fir so far, that the tree nearly fallen down. All attempts to reduce digging failed. After permanent fillig up the holes, bringing in great stones and concrete plates I tried once to fill up a hole with earth. After bringing in 3 full barrows of earth, which was not enough, I gave up. Bianca was as teachable as self-willed. Often she made, what one wanted of their, so that she had thereafter her peace. Sometimes simply nothing was to be made, if she did not want. Nevertheless she made much joy for us. One day noted my wife, she was very uneasy. She cried and wanted to assume no delicacy. My wife drove immediately to the veterinary surgeon, but it already was to late? On the way there she died. The cause was a stomach turn. Bianca was 12 years with us

Timo
we brought along 1 year after Bianca as a puppy from Italy. We wanted to breed with Bianca and Timo. Timo was a completely special dog. It had attained full growth a size from 82 cm and 70 Kilos weighed. He was calm and very tagalong. He did not walk like a dog, but made steps like a lion. With the breeding was nothing, Bianca does not let him. He did not avoid any controversy with other dogs, except on exhibitions. There he never put on another dog. With 4 years he got as consequence of a kennel cough infection heavy heart errors and the veterinaries said us, we must thereby counts, he will suddenly fall down dead. Unfortunately some months after still Diabetes was added. He had to take now each day diverse tablets and after measurement of the blood sugar content insulin squirted gotten. He took part in everything patiently. He only tried to out-spit the tablets usually wrapped in liver sausage, ham or cheese, but we watched him. When we cop him he used to out-spit the tablets outdoors he had deposited in the cheek bag we still also check whether he had really swallowed it, because the daily income of the medicines was vital. Thus he lived still nearly 4 years with and with us and he had most always good days, up to the last day, when he entered the car after a walk and fell down immediately thereafter dead.

Carlo
our third Marammano was brought along as a puppy from Italy. He often had to suffer under the predominance of Bianca and Timo and revived really after a mourning time around Bianca. He was friendly to all which he knew, reserved with strangers, obedient and tagalong. Unfortunately he got with 9 years thyroid cancer. After operation and following chemotherapy he had recovered again good, whereby the young Luna made him still once lively. After he got problems with a growing Prostata, he was castrated on recommending the veterinary surgeon. Unfortunately later a karzinom formed unnoticed there. After several investigations, because an operation would lengthen his life only for some weeks we did not want him to suffer more. After he ate one week no longer, because that karzinom the intestine closed and also the given pain means surely not were 24 hours effective, we left him heavy heart put to sleep, in order to save him further suffering on his last life days.

Luna
we brought along also as a puppy from Italy. She is very dear but in addition also pert. She is atypical friendly to all people, will be cuddled by each humans it meets and is a great smooch. She is very communicative, talk with us and others by amusing sounds and behavior and is very well-liked overall. Unfortunately it was from the first time somewhat anxious, which did not put until today after 2 years, why somewhat stricter educating methods are not applicable. She obeyed very well, if you are somewhat forbidden, but comes reluctantly, if she is called and straight something else intends. It plays still very gladly with humans and dogs, knew very well, if it is disobedience and then our nearness avoids. She reacted also frightful to unexpected movements, like opening of a door or loud noises and notes unpleasant experiences. Nevertheless it has many good characteristics, so our opinion is, she should have once puppies, in order to pass these characteristics on.


Our Maremmani were always with us. They drove with shopping, in the summer we drive regularly to ponds in the environment, so that the dogs could cool themselves, in the winter we went with them into the Harz mountains, because snow was only there. In the vacation we carried our dogs, we went with all into a dog school and they are all in thoughts with us. Everyone was incomparable in its kind and by them we came so correctly on the dog , although we had before already times a Cocker Spaniel. Only the Maremmani affected our life lastingly, other interests step to let into the background . That goes the way I must not eat all potatoes, but have to leave two pieces, so that Luna after the meal gets something special, usually still with something sourcreme on it. After the midday discharge a special delicacy must be given and before the sleeping going also still once. But the dog is not overindulged, says my wife.
